Cardiff born writer. Worked in H M Customs & Excise for 12 years then moved into the private sector as an IT Audit and Security consultant before accepting a position as Head of Corporate Communications for a large public sector organisation.
I’m a member of Cardiff Writers’ Circle and also belong to CRAG – a mutually supportive group of writers who meet in Chepstow. I have been lucky enough to have my short stories published in national UK magazines and have won prizes for article and short-fiction writing. When I’m not writing, I love cycling, walking, taking photographs of landscapes, flora and fauna (and, very occasionally, I shoot people too!). Another release for my creative energies is my weekly 2-hour show for Hospital Radio Glamorgan called ‘Books & Music’.
This blog will contain hints and tips about writing fiction (as I stumble across them) and will also give a blow-by-blow account of my efforts to write, edit and polish my first novel, which has the working title of ‘White Van Man’. Then, when it’s as perfect as I can get it, I’ll document my efforts to find an agent/publisher. I hope you’ll follow me on this adventure and maybe even buy the book as soon as it’s available.
